"The Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1" is the Grammy Award-winning debut album from The Traveling Wilburys, consisting of George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and Roy Orbison. The album features the worldwide hits "Handle With Care" and "End Of The Line". The Traveling Wilburys, sometimes shortened to the Wilburys, were a British-American supergroup that released two albums, the first in 1988 and the second in 1990. Unfortunately, Orbison passed away before the second album was recorded. The idea for the Traveling Wilburys was first mentioned by George Harrison during a radio interview with Bob Coburn on the Rockline radio station in February 1988. Harrison expressed his desire to collaborate with his friends on an album under the name Traveling Wilburys. The term "Wilbury" originated during the recording of Harrison's album "Cloud Nine" with Jeff Lynne, referring to small recording errors. Lynne suggested the name "Traveling Wilburys," which the group embraced.
