When the Eagle Flies was the band's fourth consecutive studio album to reach the American Top Ten Billboard Chart and achieve gold album status. The album portrays a bleaker tone than previous outings and shines on tracks like "Graveyard People" and "Walking in the Wind". Traffic embarked on a tour to support the release, but unfortunately disbanded in the middle of the tour in 1974.
This record is reissued individually from the remarkable 2019 Traffic - The Studio Albums 1967-74 Boxset. Remastered from the original tapes, pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl, and with artwork carefully overseen and interpreted, this album is a must-have for any newcomer or seasoned Traffic fan.
